Workout Tips

* Drink Water. A lot of it! Find a water bottle you love, drink it and refill it constantly.

* Count Calories. Don’t let this bend you out of shape. Just be mindful and aware of what you put in your body. If you have a crappy meal don’t have an unhealthy snack later on. Test you limits and ignore your cravings. (fun fact: the body can hardly tell the difference between thirst and hunger, if you feel hungry for a snack, drink a cold glass of water instead)

* Don’t compare yourself to others. Your life is you’re life you’re never going to be like anybody besides yourself. Don’t bend over backwards trying to look or be someone you’re not.

* Find someone who inspires you. I follow a few instagram fitness girls that motivate me and make me wanna work harder.

* Don’t be scared of the gym. I know when I first started going to the gym I was scared. I didn’t want to be judged or looked at. Listen here, the only time I look at anyone in the gym is to either #1 see a new thing their doing that I wanna try or #2 that girl has a really cute outfit. and everyone is there for the same reason, to work out and improve on their own personal goals.

* This may sound stupid but buying new workout clothes made me want to go to the gym and work out so bad!! Fabletics is great and more affordable for good leggings:)

* Supplements are amazing for assistance! If you are not #1 eating healthy or #2 regularly exercising you shouldn’t take supplements. Supplements are not a “take this and my life will be fixed” they are a boost in the results. I take a metabolism booster and occasionally some protein shakes of jakes 😂

* POOP okay ladies it’s about to get real. You need to be shitting at least every other day hopefully once a day, and if you’re not Fiber One has good fiber bars! The more you poop the more toxins are out of your body and honestly if I can’t poop I feel gross and fat! So just poop a lot 🙂

* Progress Pictures. I was feeling so shitty and I looked in the mirror and I took a picture. I kept it to myself nobody knew about it, I did it on snap put into my eyes only and made sure the filter with the date was on it. Then a few months later I took another and then another and another and holy shit…was there progress!! Visual progress in my own body made me work 10x harder!

* Find a workout buddy. Someone with the same mindset but someone you can silently compete with, having someone at the same level as you will help push you to work harder, and make things more fun!

* Don’t drink away your calories. Some of you this might be difficult. Coffee isn’t good for you. I challenge you all to go a week with out it. the first few days (depending on how bad your addiction is maybe few weeks) you’ll have headaches and stuff but once that’s passes you’ll feel more awake then ever before. I do not drink coffee daily or other types of drinks with calories in them. I save my calories for food!!

* You don’t need to go to the gym to stay active and lose weight. Before I started going to the gym I used an app called Sworkit I would do it 2-4 times a week for at least 15 minutes and it made me feel so much better about myself! Also just riding bikes, jumping rope or going on runs. Just staying active in or out of the gym helps keep the momentum going.

* Even when you feel your worst, go out and be active, go to the gym, go on a walk. Stop using “tomorrow” as an excuse. Make time for your fitness, make time to be active.

* There will be setbacks, not everyday will be perfect and reaching your goals will take time and dedication. Just because you ate like shit one day, or didn’t work out that day doesn’t mean give up, it means work harder. Your results won’t be seen after one time at the gym. It will take time. but i promise you if you work hard it’ll happen.

* Take time out of your day to workout. Even when you have “no time”. Everyday, I used to wake up at 7am, go to school, go to lax practice, go to work and then STILL go to the gym. I now squeeze the gym in before work, or after work.l. I make time for my goals.

* If you can’t go to the gym one day that doesn’t mean it’s your off day (unless it actually is your off day) You can work out at home! At home workouts are SOO easy you just have to be motivated.

Once you get into the groove of things and start really becoming dedicated you won’t be able to stop. It took me 3-4 months or so do consistently go to the gym and enjoy my time there. I love the gym! I love leg day and back day the most! There are still things i’m improving in and still things i’m not great at. I still mess up and make mistakes. I still eat ice cream and eat a lot of carbs. Mac and cheese and pizza is still my favorite thing to eat. I didn’t change my whole life i just adjusted some aspects to improve my body and I didn’t do this to impress jake or anybody else I did this so I could finally say I love myself and i’m hot as shit. Improve for you! I hope this helped out! and if anyone of you needs anything just ask me!
